CARPETS ORDERED NO DISCOUNT AS OFFERED

I am quite happy with the carpets and quick delivery. What I am VERY unhappy about is that I forfeited the discount that you offered on the website. I ordered AND PAID last weekend and on Monday I recieved a whatsapp message from your online shopping department that I have to contact your finance department with a screenshot of the order placed, to qualify for the discount. I informed the sender that I already paid for the carpets ( R 12 107,00) and I would like an answer regarding the discount. I was informed that I forfeited my discount because I paid TOO EARLY ???? is this a fair answer? I was not asking for a refund but at least a credit on my account to use for ordering more carpets. You offer a discount of 30 - 40% and on the amount of R 12 107,00 it added up to an amount of close to R 4 000... anyone will be unhappy for not getting the discount offered.
You offered the discount, why do one have to contact your finance department to hear if you qualify for the discount offered. It could have been taken into account when paying for the order. Your Online shopping department can confirm my concern....
